Party in the Park 2017

We're making out 100th birthday year special and different!. So Club members are excited to announce plans for a picnic "party-in-the-park" event on the afternoon of Sunday June 11th.

Party in the Park 2011

During 2011 we ran a 'pilot' Party in the Park during National Families Week. That event was so successful that our Vice President, Lion Vicky Stabler, who had drawn our attention to National Families Week, was appointed to co-ordinate a bigger version of the party. All Crofton Lions members took on different aspects of the event, which, this time, was run likew a giant street party to celebrate the Queens Diamond Jubilee!

The weather was'nt as kind to us as we would have wished but you can see from the smiling faces we were determined to have a good time. A major part of the entertainment was provided by a Duo called "Timeless" and a young singer called Channelle who took us down six decades of musical memories. The children were entertained by a Stiltwalking, balloonmodelling, juggling magician called Andy!

Fun for ALL the family came when Lion Tony Stabler, our M.C. for the afternoon started to call various age groups to take part in a traditional Sports Day (Egg & Spoon race, Three legged race, Sack race and Tug of War)

 This whole event was organised to be a FREE Party for all local residents. There were no commercial stalls but we did have a selection of Stalls offering games, raffles, facepainting, etc.
